1Kings 2
1 다윗이 죽을 날이 임박하매 그 아들 솔로몬에게 명하여 가로되
1 Now the days of David drew near that he should die; and he commanded Solomon his son, saying,
2 내가 이제 세상 모든 사람의 가는 길로 가게 되었노니 너는 힘써 대장부가 되고
2 "I am going the way of all the earth. You be strong therefore, and show yourself a man;
3 네 하나님 여호와의 명을 지켜 그 길로 행하여 그 법률과 계명과 율례와 증거를 모세의 율법에 기록된대로 지키라 그리하면 네가 무릇 무엇을 하든지 어디로 가든지 형통할지라
3 and keep the instruction of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do, and wherever you turn yourself.
4 여호와께서 내 일에 대하여 말씀하시기를 만일 네 자손이 그 길을 삼가 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하여 진실히 내 앞에서 행하면 이스라엘 왕위에 오를 사람이 네게서 끊어지지 아니하리라 하신 말씀을 확실히 이루게 하시리라
4 That the LORD may establish his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you,' he said, 'a man on the throne of Israel.'
5 스루야의 아들 요압이 내게 행한 일 곧 이스라엘 군대의 두 장관 넬의 아들 아브넬과 예델의 아들 아마사에게 행한 일을 네가 알거니와 저가 저희를 죽여 태평시대에 전쟁의 피를 흘리고 전쟁의 피로 자기의 허리에 띤 띠와 발에 신은 신에 묻혔으니
5 "Moreover you know also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, even what he did to the two commanders of the armies of Israel, to Abner the son of Ner, and to Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, avenging the blood of war in peacetime, and put the blood of war on my belt that was about my waist, and on my sandal that was on my foot.
6 네 지혜대로 행하여 그 백발로 평안히 음부에 내려가지 못하게 하라
6 Do therefore according to your wisdom, and do not let his gray head go down to Sheol in peace.
7 마땅히 길르앗 바실래의 아들들에게 은총을 베풀어 저희로 네 상에서 먹는 자 중에 참예하게 하라 내가 네 형 압살롬의 낯을 피하여 도망할 때에 저희가 내게 나아왔었느니라
7 But show kindness to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those who eat at your table; for so they came to me when I fled from Absalom your brother.
8 바후림 베냐민 사람 게라의 아들 시므이가 너와 함께 있나니 저는 내가 마하나임으로 갈 때에 독한 말로 나를 저주하였느니라 그러나 저가 요단에 내려와서 나를 영접하기로 내가 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하여 이르기를 내가 칼로 너를 죽이지 아니하리라 하였노라
8 "Look, there is with you Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjamite, of Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by the LORD, saying, 'I will not put you to death with the sword.'
9 그러나 저를 무죄한 자로 여기지 말지어다 너는 지혜있는 사람인즉 저에게 행할 일을 알지니 그 백발의 피를 흘려 저로 음부에 내려가게 하라
9 Now therefore do not hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man; and you will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down to Sheol with blood."
10 다윗이 그 열조와 함께 누워 자서 다윗 성에 장사되니
10 David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the City of David.
11 다윗이 이스라엘 왕이 된지 사십 년이라 헤브론에서 칠 년을 치리하였고 예루살렘에서 삼십삼 년을 치리하였더라
11 The days that David reigned over Israel were forty years; he reigned seven years in Hebron, and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
12 솔로몬이 그 아비 다윗의 위에 앉으니 그 나라가 심히 견고하니라
12 Solomon sat on the throne of David his father; and his kingdom was firmly established.
